Raleigh Room
The Raleigh Room is our Term Time Only provision, and in this room we have 24 children aged 3 – 4. This spacious room encourages children to be inquisitive and investigative with their play. The children are free to be themselves in an environment that is relaxed and engaging. Much like the Stackpool Room and the Ruby Room, the children are encouraged to increase their independence to prepare them for the next stages of their lives at primary school.
This light and airy space provides the perfect setting for your little one to explore with their new friends. All resources are at child level and carefully stored in mesh trays to support independent access and learning. Our pre schoolers can share a book in the reading snug, act out and make sense of real-life situations in the role play area and explore the outdoors in our own little garden.
We are very proud of our brand new Sensory Room, which provides a welcome escape for those who might need a quiet moment to unwind from a busy pre school room. This calm and tranquil space enables children to relax and let their exploratory minds evolve, providing them with the focus and comfort they need to self-regulate effectively.
The Raleigh Room is in receipt of government funding, with families able to access their 15 hours of Free Early Education Entitlement through two fixed session options:
On top of these core sessions, we also have the following wraparound options which are paid for privately:

See what the Raleigh Room have been up to this month:
November 2023
Raleigh Room have found an interest in boxes. We have used them in various ways and have enjoyed hiding.
We had our first stay and play where we celebrated Diwali and made divas and firework pictures.
Some children have found an interest in letters and sounds and have enjoyed playing games to support this.
We also remembered those who have fought in wars and made poppies. We’ve had a wonder month!
September 2023
In Raleigh Room we were lucky to share some bread which was hand made by one of parents who is a baker. The children used their hand eye coordination to spread the butter and it was delicious.
We have made our own garage. The children showed an interest in this during our garden time, so we became mechanics and helped our friends to build the garage and then role play fixing vehicles. We love using our imagination.
We have also been exploring through messy play. Kathryn set up a digger sensory messy play in the garden using Weetabix, cocoa, powder, cornflakes and Leanne then continued to explore senses with a sensory wormery and bugs tuff tray.
July 2023
We have been developing our independence and fine motor skills by cutting our own snack. It was yummy and we had a great time trying new things too.
We became storytellers. We used puppets and also used the whiteboard to draw pictures for our stories.
We have been developing our number skills by recognising numbers and matching with amounts.
We really enjoyed our last days in pre-school. We had so much fun dancing and playing games. Thank you all for working so hard this year and good luck for the future.
