The Raleigh Room is our Term Time Only preschool provision, and in this room we have space for up to 24 children. Children can join the Raleigh Room from the September, January or April after they turn two and nine months. This spacious room encourages children to be inquisitive and investigative with their play. The children are free to be themselves in an environment that is relaxed and engaging. Much like the Stackpool Room and the Ruby Room, the children are encouraged to increase their independence to prepare them for the next stages of their lives at primary school.

This light and airy space provides the perfect setting for your little one to explore with their new friends. All resources are at child level and carefully stored in mesh trays to support independent access and learning. Our pre schoolers can share a book in the reading snug, act out and make sense of real-life situations in the role play area and explore the outdoors in our own little garden.

We are very proud of our brand new Sensory Room, which provides a welcome escape for those who might need a quiet moment to unwind from a busy pre school room. This calm and tranquil space enables children to relax and let their exploratory minds evolve, providing them with the focus and comfort they need to self-regulate effectively.

Attendance in the Raleigh Room is set up for children in receipt of government funding, with families able to access their 15 hours of their Working Family Funding or Universal Funding through two fixed session options:

On top of these core sessions, we also have the following wraparound options which are paid for privately:

See what the Raleigh Room have been up to this month:

April 2024

Raleigh Room have been so busy this month, we have packed in lots of activities. In April we started the Neli Language Program which the children have really enjoyed.

We have been working on our phonics by learning the letter sounds of our names and starting to recognise letters around our environment. The children have also been extremely interested in the work going on outside Raleigh Room; Kelly sent some photos to keep the children updated on the progress and they loved taking a look and discussing what was happening.

March 2024

Spring has sprung in Raleigh Room. We’ve been very busy making lambs and using different media to be creative and produce lovely daffodil pictures 🌼 Following on from our children’s interests we have transformed our role play area into a Florist, where the children are living their best lives making beautiful bouquets and practising using money.

Our families came in for an Easter stay and play where we had lots of Easter activities and our children were very excited to share their learning and space with their grown ups.

February 2024

Raleigh Room have been busy this month even though we’ve had some time off for half term. We have enjoyed continuing our learning outside in the big garden. We found some worms in the mud kitchen that we transported into a new home full of lovely mud!.

Our children have been very lucky as Leanne donated lots of princess dresses to the room. Since they arrived we have been working on developing our independent dressing skills and we have also been retelling traditional stories linked to the dresses.
