Our latest news

LGBTQIA+ Events

We are excited to be working on a new LGBTQIA+ evening event to take place at the centre, in our beautiful cafe space The School Room (@schoolroomcafe_bs3 on Instagram). There will be fabulous craft activities provided by the Crafty Social Club, delicious vegan food from our wonderful in-house chef, Fleur’s Vegan Kitchen (@fleursvegan on Instagram), and of course lots of opportunities for great chats and to make new connections within the community. We are working on dates and details for this event, so keep an eye out on our social media.

We also hold a weekly FAB Cafe meeting at the Tobacco Factory for LGBTQIA+ people and friends. This is in partnership with Age UK, and is aimed at those over 55; however, people of any age are welcome to come along. We meet in the Snug every Tuesday between 2 – 4 and it’s a chance to meet up with local LGBTQIA+ people in a relaxed environment over a cuppa.

We welcome any ideas, questions or feedback you may have about how we could make this space more welcoming, diverse and inclusive. If you would like to get in touch, please contact leanne.purton@bs3community.org.uk or just pop in.

We want to say a big thank you to all our donors. The gift of giving feels so significant right now and the impacts donations have for the people using our services is huge. We are so grateful for donations from local businesses such as Barratt Homes, Baileys of Bristol and Redcliffe Parish, to name a few.

We have also received donations from local people’s energy rebates, so to support others in the community this winter. Donations to BS3 Community Development enable the crucial work we do, directly impacting the community, supporting children with SEND needs to thrive in our care, or giving families access to food and medicines.
