Raleigh Room
The Raleigh Room is our Term Time Only preschool provision, and in this room we have space for up to 24 children. Children can join the Raleigh Room from the September, January or April after they turn two and nine months. This spacious room encourages children to be inquisitive and investigative with their play. The children are free to be themselves in an environment that is relaxed and engaging. Much like the Stackpool Room and the Ruby Room, the children are encouraged to increase their independence to prepare them for the next stages of their lives at primary school.
This light and airy space provides the perfect setting for your little one to explore with their new friends. All resources are at child level and carefully stored in mesh trays to support independent access and learning. Our pre schoolers can share a book in the reading snug, act out and make sense of real-life situations in the role play area and explore the outdoors in our own little garden.
We are very proud of our brand new Sensory Room, which provides a welcome escape for those who might need a quiet moment to unwind from a busy pre school room. This calm and tranquil space enables children to relax and let their exploratory minds evolve, providing them with the focus and comfort they need to self-regulate effectively.
Attendance in the Raleigh Room is set up for children in receipt of government funding, with families able to access their 15 hours of their Working Family Funding or Universal Funding through two fixed session options:
On top of these core sessions, we also have the following wraparound options which are paid for privately:

See what the Raleigh Room have been up to this month:
September 2024
Raleigh Room has had a busy couple of weeks while we’ve been welcoming new and old friends into our space. It has been lovely to watch the children form new relationships and feel a sense of belonging.
The children have enjoyed exploring the room and lots of different activities each day.
We have been learning about the seasons changing and thinking about Autumn. To reflect the children’s interests, we have made some lovely necklaces using pasta and autumnal paint colours to decorate.
July 2024
We have had a busy time at the end of our year. We have been working on our mark making skills and talking about our marks and letters in preparation for school. The children thoroughly enjoyed their farm trips to Windmill Hill City Farm. The goats were very hungry!
Lots of out children celebrated birthdays this month so we have been working hard to develop our fine motor skills making birthday cakes with playdough.
Raleigh Room children love singing and rhymes and had lots of fun singing circle songs.
Finally, we had lots of fun at our graduation ceremony for our school leavers and celebrating their journey.
June 2024
Raleigh Room have had an extremely busy June. We have been thinking and talking about staying hydrated in the lovely sunshine and decided to make our own lemonade, which we thought was extremely delicious.
As it’s currently Pride month, we have been celebrating being unique and learning that everyone is valued. We had lots of fun decorating our room window to reflect this.
The long-awaited Raleigh Glastonbury event finally took place at the end of June. Excitement levels were high as we made wrist bands, glittered up and took turn to perform on stage.
