Beauley Room
The Beauley Room holds up to 15 of our youngest children aged nine months to two years. This room has a welcoming and homely feel and there are plenty of communication friendly spaces where children can feel safe and secure. These spaces can be used for exploring and playing, as well as interactions with practitioners and friends.
We aim to create a homely feel for children to come in and play, but our number one priority is for our children to feel safe and relaxed at all times. We try to create as many spaces as we can to ensure children have the opportunity to make choices for themselves with what they wish to do.
We have a relaxing story corner with soft toys, cushions, blankets, and plenty of engaging books for the children to get lost in. Our arts and craft area is very popular with our little ones, who love to experiment and explore sensory and messy play. Our favourite area of the room is our beautiful indoor wooden slide where the children can practice their physical skills, for example climbing up the steps and crawling underneath the tunnel.
All of our toys and resources are down at the child’s level so that they can independently access what they would like to play with and make their own choices.
We feel it’s important to use our staff members unique skillsets, so we encourage each member of staff to share their passions with the children – whether it’s getting creative with messy play, improving the children’s confidence with outdoor play or inspiring learning through role play.

See what the Beauley Room have been up to this month:
October 2024
In the month of October, The Boo-ley Room have enjoyed celebrating Halloween in lots of fun and spooky ways! We have really enjoyed exploring pumpkins and creepy crawlies by using our senses. We have enjoyed frozen yogurt popsicles with insects inside and feeling pumpkins insides in the tuff tray!
We also had the joy of being invited to a Halloween sensory class in the Milford Hall with lots of lights, balloons, songs and more pumpkins! The children (and adults) all enjoyed this and had lots of fun exploring all the new Halloween toys! Well done, Boo-ley Room!
September 2024
In the Beauley Room, we have really enjoyed messy play, garden time and stacking this month. We have explored different materials such as oats, cereals and grains. We zoomed back to the prehistoric times playing with our dinosaurs and animals, having fun stacking them and feeding them some cereals! Yummy. We have all become pros at stacking in the Beauley Room, these activities are currently a firm favourite.
We have also enjoyed exploring the outdoors and seeing our loved ones from the older rooms which has been a joy to see and watch! We even took a trip to Asda to fill up on our essentials!
Well done Beauley Room.
August 2024
In August, we have enjoyed lots of different activities from celebrating the Balloon Fiesta, playing with trains and vehicles to outdoor exploring!
Our room, has been transformed into a hot air balloon display. The children have thoroughly enjoyed posing in front of the backdrop to make some very cute pictures!
We have also enjoyed baking in our play outside this month and have been playing with the mud kitchen and play house. The children have turned into keen cooks and have enjoyed transporting our sand, water and mud to make some yummy meals.
We have had a very wonderful month! Good job Beauley Room.
