Community Connectors have been working with local residents across South Bristol, to help connect people into relevant support services as well as creating events and activities for the whole community to enjoy.

We have supported over 200 people, many of them older of vulnerable. We have worked directly with residents to find out what matters most to them and helped get community led projects off of the ground. With activities ranging from accessible yoga, art and craft workshops, community singing and clothes swaps there is something so everyone to get involved in.

Community Christmas Party

In December BS3’s community connectors organised a Christmas party for local residents. A choir delivered a beautiful series of Christmas songs and local resident Michael Loopleton performed magic tricks.

Christmas Crafts

Over the Christmas period, local residents came together to use their newly acquired felting skills to create Christmas decorations. Many of the quirky Christmas characters created by our participants ended up hanging from Christmas trees across Bristol.

Community Crafts

Every Wednesday from 9.30 to 11.30 our wonderful connectors facilitate community craft activities in the Quaker house on Marksbury road. So far residents have been participating in felting, marbling and mindful colouring activities. In addition to craft activities connectors often run community meals, clothes and seed swaps on weekends.
