Skip to main content BS3 Community remains open for general nursery provision. The premises remain closed for all other services. There is no general admittance to either the Southville or Chessel Centre.

Just like all the best events in 2020, the party to mark the charity’s 30th year had to be postponed, but we are delighted to say that we will be holding a celebratory 30+1 birthday event this year on Saturday 25th of September.

As part of the celebrations we will be creating a performance, BURY ME IN BS3, looking back on the 100+ years of the Southville Centre and our custodianship of the building since 1991.

BURY ME IN BS3 will be a live performance piece directed and produced by T.S. IDIOT (Tom Stockley), reflecting on the social history of the Southville Centre, the landmark building run by BS3 Community, and of the surrounding area from the turn of the 20th century to the present day.

BS3 Community awarded Social Enterprise of the Year

We have some great news to share; we are hugely proud that BS3 Community has been awarded Social Enterprise of the Year.

These past few months have been a challenging time and have tested the capabilities of how organisations handle unexpected obstacles.

The awarding body SME News has cast a light on a number of businesses, big and small, showcasing how they have navigated these uncertain times, and found innovative ways to continue providing their services.

The awards are given solely on merit and are awarded to commend those most deserving for their ingenuity and hard work.

The awarding body said;

This challenging year has seen BS3 Community not only survive but thrive. Their communication with the community and their development work has been outstanding.
