Taking our Learning Outside
Play outdoors is a long–standing feature of early years provision. At the Southville and Chessel Centre nurseries, we are lucky to have fantastic spaces for our children to explore, offering a range of different learning opportunities. We believe that our outdoor space is just as, if not more important than our indoor rooms and are continually developing these areas to provide places of wonder and enquiry that support our children’s curiosity and investigation.
Through gardening, exploration and play outdoors children develop an understanding of the natural world, begin to appreciate its beauty and learn to take care of it.
