Early Years Practitioner – full-time (40 hours p/w), permanent contract
We are searching for an Early Years Practitioner
BS3 Community Development is searching for a new Early Years Practitioner to help our little friends to grow, learn and flourish – working across our Southville Centre and Chessel Centre nurseries.
Who we are…
BS3 Community Development is an independent charity-run nursery working across two sites: The Southville Centre, Southville BS3 1QG and the Chessel Centre, Bedminster BS3 3DN. Our charity aims to improve the lives and well-being of people who live and work within the BS3 postcode and we are looking for our newest team member to help us achieve this goal.
Who you are…
You enjoy the company of others, are happy to get messy, to sing songs, to dance and laugh.
You must be a practitioner qualified to Level 3 or above. You are passionate about supporting children as they take their first steps into the world. You will be interested in their individual development, supportive of their needs and excited to inspire awe and wonder into each day that they spend with us at nursery.
You will be committed to providing our nursery friends with a secure, warm, and caring environment. You will see the potential in all the children in our care and will work closely with our team to create interesting opportunities for each child to develop and shine. We are looking for someone who can bring new concepts, ideas, and passion to their work, helping to support the Lead Practitioner in leading and developing the team.
Whilst this is a full-time position, we are committed to supporting healthy life-work balance for our team and can be flexible for the right person. We support working parents, part time students and individuals with Carer’s responsibility.
Our promise to our staff…
We are committed to supporting our staff team to help them fulfil their ambitions, with 20% of our early years team currently undertaking CPD training. We understand how important the Early Years role is, and the difference that you make to each child in your care, and we are passionate about providing you with space and support to develop and grow in your career in this field.
We want to add value to our children’s experiences with us, and our staff’s development, and are involved in the Bristol Standard, the Ambitious Two-Year Olds Project and the Bristol City Council Refugees Project. Internally, we invite staff to participate in special interest action groups, including our Garden and Outdoor Learning Committee and our Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging group.
We provide each team member with a supervisor for career development and are always looking for ways to enhance our holistic approach to working for the charity.
We are excited to hear your thoughts on these, and many other, exciting projects that enhance our practice, and develop how we care for and educate the children in our care.
