We’re diving head-first into Christmas – because for us it’s a whole season, not just a day! At BS3 Community Nurseries, every December (and more than a little of November) is bursting with festive fun. And honestly, if you don’t have a Christmas song stuck on repeat in your head, you’re definitely not doing it right!
Christmas books we love
Here are some of the classic books we love to read with the children over the festive period.
Christmas Corridor
As you know, we take Christmas (and all celebrations) very seriously at BS3 Nurseries and our main festive focus at the start of December is planning and creating the spectacular Christmas Corridor.
With the help of the children, and most importantly – FOR the children – we deck out our nursery halls based on a festive theme so that they get to experience that seasonal magic as they come in to nursery. This also doubles up as something that can be enjoyed by the families coming to visit the Southville Centre for our Festive Market which will be taking place on Saturday 6th December.

Getting creative 2025
This year we have some big plans for our Christmas set up, the question is, can we make the magic happen in time?!
As most creative adventures do, this one began with a trip to our favourite place – Bristol Children’s Scrapstore to gather lots of exciting resources to get inspired by and start building with!
Our little elves are currently very busy working on lots of special projects…
Intergenerational
Our amazing older friends who attend Monday Club have also been getting in on the crafting action. Whilst bopping along to some classic tunes, they have been working together to make us lots of paper chains, snowy bunting and icicle hanging decorations which will adorn our sensory room to transform it into an Elf-tastic log-cabin-style wonderland.
We look forward to seeing you at the Festive Market on Saturday 6th December at the Southville Centre where you will get to experience the full magic of our Christmas corridor. The Communities Team are running an Elf Trail where you will solves the clues to find all of the cheeky elves causing mischief around the centre. Follow their trail to the magical Elf House and finish your adventure by talking some funny pictures in our festive photobooth and grabbing a treat from our lucky dip. See you there!

Monday Club check out the corridor
The Monday Club attendees took a stroll along our Christmas corridor. Peeking in at the magical elf room, they got to see their decorations in action. It’s safe to say they were wowed!
