April saw us celebrate Easter in style with a large selection of creative activities and many egg hunts. Our staff got to do what they do best, setting up lots of engaging play trays and providing opportunities for our little ones to explore creatively. We also focused our attention on World Earth Day, thinking about how we can look after our lovely planet.
May
This month was packed with exciting events. First, our ‘Bristol in Summer’ corridor went up, which has brought so much joy for the children They loved getting creative while making the different elements and now enjoy walking through their colourful creation every day. Meanwhile, our Chessels friends began an intergenerational project with Making Time – acta Bristol ,building meaningful connections across generations. At the same time, our garden project bloomed and we celebrated minibeasts for Bee Day and by releasing our butterflies.
June
Preparations for the World Cup and Wimbledon got underway this month, with the children enthusiastically taking part in a variety of sports and creative activities inspired by both events. Meanwhile, our allotment continued to flourish, giving the children the chance to see the results of their care and hard work. In the Leighton Room, the children experienced the excitement of releasing the butterflies they had nurtured from caterpillars, watching them take flight at last. It was a memorable month filled with learning, creativity, and fun for everyone!
