The Raleigh Room is our Term Time Only provision, and in this room we have 30 children aged 3 – 4. This colourful room encourages children to be inquisitive and investigative with their play. The children are free to be themselves in an environment that is relaxed and engaging. Much like the Stackpool Room and the Ruby Room, the children are encouraged to increase their independence to prepare them for the next stages of their lives at primary school.
The Raleigh Room is in receipt of government funding, with families able to access their 15 hours of Free Early Education Entitlement. We also offer 30 hours of funding, Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm, which is subject to availability and eligibility. You can find more information about funding and how to apply on: www.childcarechoices.gov.uk
On top of these core sessions, we also have the following wraparound options which are paid for privately.
Term Time Only Wraparound Sessions
|Morning wraparound with breakfast (toast, fruit etc.)||8am to 9am||£6.25 per session|
|Morning wraparound without breakfast||8:30am to 9am||£3.00 per session|
|Afternoon wraparound with a light tea||3pm to 5pm||£12.50 per session|
See what the Raleigh Room have been up to this month:
The children in Raleigh Room have been enjoying lots of Easter activities, including: making bunny crowns, daffodil painting, egg and spoon races, Easter egg hunts and Easter egg design.
They also had the chance to experience having Babycinos on a rainy day in the café!
This month we celebrated pancake day at snack time and it was very yummy! The children have also really been enjoying construction with our big wooden blocks – using them to make dens. Look at the team work in these pictures! For Science week Helen’s group has planted seeds in the garden. I wonder how long they will take to grow? Finally, our children have been enjoying experimenting with sound and making music, performing their own songs!
This month Raleigh Room have enjoyed arts and crafts, making cards for their friends for Friendship day. The children have also been developing their counting and number skills, counting objects and working together “how many magnets have you used to make a tower as tall as us!”
Lastly, we would like to introduce Mr Wolf and Mr Troll, our new friends in the Raleigh Room. Here is Mr Wolf on a visit to Rosie’s home, enjoying dinner at her house “yummy!”. Mr Wolf and Mr Troll will visit one of their new friends each week, they are excited for all of their new adventures.
