Founded in 2017 by a small group of local bird watchers, the BS3 Wildlife Group has grown into a vibrant community initiative dedicated to protecting and promoting urban wildlife. Initially focused on birds, the group soon expanded its interest to butterflies and other species, setting two key aims:

  1. Raise awareness of the wildlife in our local area.
  2. Encourage habitat improvement in gardens, parks, and other shared spaces.
